    The City of Aspen is an affluent Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous city of Pitkin County, Colorado, United States. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the city population was 5,804 in 2005. Founded as a mining camp in the Colorado Silver Boom and named because of the abundance of aspen trees in the area, the city is now a ski resort and an upscale tourist center.      translate  E' il secondo passo più alto del Colorado, a 3686 metri s.l.m., e divide la valle del fiume Roaring Fork da Aspen. Il passo è attraversato dalla Highway 82.
    Il passo è ben al di sopra il limite delle vegetazione degli alberi, tecnicamente in cima al passo ci ritroviamo in una specie di tundra.
    La circolazione per i veicoli pesanti è vietata ed il passo è sempre chiuso in inverno.  edit
